Extra Credit, for students who are Failing ONLY

*For those students who are failing ONLY, you have the option to write or type a 2-page research paper on any of the topics shown on this link --> Extra Credit Research Topics

Be sure to include in your Research paper:
- What you learned about your topic
- Important details, facts
- Why this topic is important for us to know about
- At least 2 new Vocabulary words you learned and what they mean
- A picture or drawing related to your topic

If you need help on how to write a Science Research paper, click on here --> Writing a Science Research Paper

This must be handed in before the marking period ends.

*Another option for Extra Credit is to watch 3 new BrainPop Videos related to topics you have learned and print out or write out the Questions and Answers to the videos you've seen.

Other Extra Credit Options (Mr. Villa)

B)   Play a Game(s) on Quizizz (code or link will be given to you).

C)   Complete a study set on Quizlet (SIGN IN TO ACCOUNT FIRST!!!)

D)  Play a Game(s) on GimKit (code will be given to you).

E)  Read a current science-related article (look on my blog for websites) and write a 1-page report on it.

F)   Research a current topic from class and write a 1 page summary of it. Teacher, look at the file “Extra Credit Research Project Topics”

G)  Pick a topic we’ve been learning about in Science so far this year. Show me what you learned about this topic by creating 1 of these:

     a)  A pamphlet
     b)  A poster board
     c)   A booklet
     d)  A Google Slides presentation
     e) A Video
For whichever one you pick, make sure you include detailed descriptions, illustrations, reasons why this topic is important in your life, AND a fun video you found online (ex- YouTube) related to this topic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*You can also make a Google Slides presentation on a topic you learned about and share it with me. In the presentation include:
- What you learned, main ideas
- Examples of the topic
- Pictures and a description
- Why this topic is important for us to know
- 2 new questions you have about this topic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Another option is to create a One-Pager project on oaktag paper, on any topic we've learned about. Remember it has to include at least 2 facts, 2 higher-order Questions and Answers, 5 Vocabulary words, a border related to the topic, and a personal reflection as well. Make it colorful and creative!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also may have Worksheet packets to complete as Extra credit. It all depends on the topic we are discussing. Please ask me and I will let you know.
